Founded in 1846 by Konrad Frehner, today's Carpentry Frehner & Frick can look back on a history of around 150 years. Hans Frehner, who was still running the business himself in the fourth generation, leased the company in 2009 to Sämi Frick, who himself once completed his apprenticeship at the Frehner carpentry shop. After his apprenticeship, Frick attended the woodworking college in Biel and trained to become a federally certified carpentry foreman. Before leasing the Frehner carpentry shop, he worked abroad for several years and was happy to return to the family atmosphere of his village.

From then on, Sämi Frick runs the company under the name "Zimmerei Frehner & Frick GmbH" on his own, whereby he also works in the company himself as the boss. The company with eight employees, including two apprentices, continues to offer carpentry of all kinds and specializes in agricultural buildings, style renovations and traditional carpentry.
