The company BBS AG ( Floor Covering Service ) was founded in August 1989 by Markus Weber. The first head office was at Dornacherstrasse 8 in Basel, including showroom and office. The warehouse was already at that time in Pratteln. From the beginning four floor layers could be employed.

In 1992, the head office was moved to Pratteln, as there were larger exhibition areas and shop windows available for optimal customer service. In addition, the proximity to the material warehouse was also an advantage.
