Company Profile

Genini Resine Sagl, is active in the Swiss market in the field of treatment, installation and supply of synthetic, PMMA, polyurethane and epoxy resin flooring; anti-slip and stain-resistant treatment of any surface; anti-graffiti removal and protection; and representation, promotion and application of ECOACTIVE photocatalytic paints and coatings.

Floor coverings

Epoxy resins: high mechanical resistance, monochromatic or colorquarz. Especially suitable for industry in general, commerce, the hotel sector (hotel kitchens, restaurants, etc.) and the wine sector (wine cellars for wine production).

Polyurethane resins: hard to very soft for good mechanical strength but also to achieve greater comfort for those who walk on them, high elasticity and reduction of noise from footsteps and the like, lightfast and obtainable in any color required, particularly suitable for schools, hospitals, offices, sales rooms, etc.

PMMA acrylic resins: suitable for very urgent cases since only 2 hours after installation they are 100% loadable.

To be used as epoxy resins.

UCRETE resins: a 3-component formulation of polyurethane resins and special cements suitable for where high mechanical, chemical and especially temperature resistant resistance up to 110°C is needed. Suitable for slaughterhouses, dairies, etc.

ECOACTIVE PHOTOCATALYTIC SYSTEMS

HOW THEY ARE BORN.

Photocatalytic ecoactive systems are the innovative building products designed and developed by Global Engineering, in collaboration with Italcementi Group and Millennium Chemicals (USA).

They are the subject of 8 international patents and certified by major international technical and scientific institutions.

WHAT THE PROPERTIES ARE.

They consist of absolutely non-toxic cement-based water paints and coatings that ensure, compared with traditional coatings, exceptional advantages in terms of:

• Purification of the air from pollutants in the outdoor and indoor environment
• Maintenance of the aesthetic and color characteristics of buildings over time
• Reduced maintenance of treated surfaces
• Strong antimicrobial and anti-mold action
• Deodorizing and sanitizing action
• Anti-pollution effect

HOW THEY WORK

The chemical process behind Ecopittura products is "photocatalysis," which is initiated by the combined action of light (solar or artificial) and air. The active ingredient in the water paints, processed with PPS® technology, activates the photocatalytic chemical reaction and thus the oxidation and decomposition of organic and inorganic substances that come into contact with the treated surface.

WHICH SUBSTANCES ARE TRANSFORMED Fine dust - PMx, nitrogen oxides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), polycondensate aromatics (PAHs), sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, methanol, benzene, ethylbenzene, mexylene, toluene, nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide, ozone. microorganisms, bacteria, fungi, algae.

WHAT ARE THE RESIDUES OF TRANSFORMATION Pollutants and toxic substances are transformed through the photocatalysis process into sodium nitrates (NaNO3), sodium carbonates (Ca(NO3))2 and limestone (CaCo3), which are harmless and in insignificant amounts (proportional to the concentration of pollutants), absolutely invisible, and are washed away by water or precipitate to the ground.

SOME CERTIFIED RESULTS

• 98% abatement of pollutants in the laboratory (according to CNR Ispra data);
• 37% abatement of household pollutants, including carbon monoxide and cigarette smoke derivatives (according to ARPA Lombardia survey);
• 60% of urban road pollutants (according to data collected with CNR Rome-approved equipment in the municipality of Segrate, milan);
• 90% reduction of bacteria, microorganisms, molds, algae and fungi;
• 85% abatement of odors from organic substances.

ECOACTIVE PHOTOCATALYTIC WATER-BASED PAINTS Water-based paints for photocatalytic treatment and decoration of interior or exterior surfaces, supplied in 14-liter cans, ready to use. Application methods and tools are identical to traditional paints. To ensure efficient photocatalytic action, the paints are preferably offered in soft shades according to the color chart available upon request.
The composition of the atmosphere inside buildings is basically the same as we find outside, but the amounts and types of contaminants change. In addition to pollutants, coming from the outside such as sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxides (CO) and fine dust, there are a whole series of pollutants whose sources are inside buildings. These are so-called volatile organic compounds, such as Formaldehyde and Benzol, generated by cleaning products, gas stoves, smoke and furniture.
Through the process of photocatalysis, pollutants in the environment are transformed into harmless residues such as carbonates (CaCO3), nitrates Ca(NO3)2, sulfates and mineral salts.
The % abatement rates found are extremely high and can range from 50 to 80% both on the street and inside homes. The air, inside the dwellings benefits so much that, for example, it is almost impossible to see ecopaint blackening in the area of radiators.
Proactive-Photocatalytic-System is the result of the innovative technology that studies the science of nanocomponents to optimize photocatalytic processes and thus obtain products that are more efficient, more stable, and with higher yields than traditional processes of the past generation.

Treatments

FIXSTOP permanent anti-slip treatment

Through the principle of FIXSTOP, the surface structure is permanently modified: it is a permanent anti-slip treatment, as it produces an invisible chemical reaction by creating micro porosity on the treated surface without altering the original characteristics of the floor.

With FIXSTOP treatment, the danger of slipping drops significantly especially on wet surfaces, and even so-called anti-slip tiles with high water displacement provide an even better result.

FIXO-SIL anti-dust treatment

General characteristics: formulated on the basis of a special mixture of silicates to be applied in a fluid state on concrete artifacts. Applied when the concrete is fresh, Pentra-Sil controls the curing of castings by reducing, over 24 hours, moisture loss and thus effectively combating the formation of micro-cracks.

Applied to cured concrete, Pentra-Sil reduces porosity and consequently water absorption, increases hardness and abrasion resistance (permanent anti-dust effect).

Pentra-Sil is non-flammable, non-toxic, is in aqueous solution, and can react with almost all concretes containing Portland cement.
It does not contain any solvents, is not carcinogenic or susceptible to disturbance, and does not contain volatile matter, so it can also be used in food preparation rooms.

Pentra-Sil does not adhere but penetrates the substrate where it reacts with weak calcium hydroxide to produce a stronger, more compact and durable concrete.

Abrasion resistance Fixo-Sil increases the abrasion resistance of the surface making the concrete significantly harder +35% approx.

Reduced water absorption Fixo-Sil dramatically reduces water absorption while protecting against the effects of freeze/thaw and other moisture intrusion damage.

Reduction of road salt penetration Fixo-Sil forms a shield by reducing the penetration of road salts by up to 90%, as proven by WJE's testing according to NCHRP 244 (U.S. Department of Highways) procedure.
Fixo-Sil uses cutting-edge chemistry to make available the best concrete thickener available today.
Concrete is exposed to the aggression of chemical, mechanical and atmospheric elements that can induce its deterioration.

Cracking resistance Fixo-Sil prevents and stops the alkali-silica reaction, reduces salt penetration, stops micro-capillarity of the beton against water penetration and from chemical attack, strengthens the beton surface, and simplifies maintenance.
