Thomas Gmür GmbH (Weisslingen)

In 2009, the handicraft company Thomas Gmür celebrates its 20th anniversary. After his apprenticeship, the trained panel layer worked in his profession for more than seven years before becoming self-employed. He successfully completed the master school. The experienced specialist, and the eight employed skilled workers as well as two apprentices, look back on strenuous but fruitful years.

The handicraft company expertly and on time lays ceramic wall and floor tiles, natural stone and clay floors, or handmade tiles on request. Laying on floors and walls the company makes both in new buildings, as well as in reconstructions. Ceramic and natural stone floors have the advantage that, unlike carpets, they are significantly more hygienic and easy to maintain, the durability is almost unlimited. In older properties, there is even the possibility of integrating underfloor heating with a simple structure. Cold feet are a thing of the past. Of course, laying floors is just as much the specialty of the Gmür team as installing panels on walls in wet rooms and kitchens. Any repair work on older floors and walls as well as putty joints are carried out promptly and competently.

The company, working as a team, shows high flexibility and excellent team spirit. This is proven, among other things, by the fact that the first employee still works with Thomas Gmür. Because the type and composition of floor and wall coverings can be compared to the change in fashion, the master tiler uses all his experience to be able to fulfill as many customer wishes as possible through creative ideas. That is why he regularly attends training courses organized by the Association of Swiss Master Tilers. He also carries out conversions, such as kitchen and bathroom renovations, under his own direction. Of course, the expert advises the customer on site without obligation and free of charge.
